“A good friend of mine referred me to Mike. He had helped her to get her new home recently. She spoke very highly of him. I had a previous realtor with whom communication was just not working. From the very first conversation, Mike was professional and reassuring as I described my woes with my previous realtor. He was appreciative of me sharing a lot of details because I am a very detailed person. He invited me to be as open and honest with him, which was the polar opposite of what I had experienced with the previous real estate agent.
KNOWLEDGEABLE - Mike was extremely knowledgeable on the whole process. This was able to counteract the service failures of the loan officer, particularly when it came to getting the loan commitment and finalizing the deal for closing. Mike informed me of things that the loan officer should have informed me about. The loan officer's lack of communication made me feel somewhat deceived. I never felt this way with Mike.
TIMELY AND CLEAR COMMUNICATIONS - In light of all that went wrong with the loan officer, Mike shined all the more brightly because of his communications throughout the whole process. And there is no doubt that his being a God-fearing man is the reason why he rate him 'excellent' in all the categories mentioned above.
THE EXCHANGE OF CONTRACTS AND CLOSING - Mike demonstrated knowledge and determination to finalize the close. Unfortunately, the loan officer was absolutely horrible at this critical juncture by not communicating, not being present, and not showing ingenuity to overcome obstacles, all of which Mike did in fact do. His efforts saved this deal!
ATTENTION TO DETAIL & NEGOTIATING THE PRICE AND TERMS OF THE PURCHASE- This is where Mike really shined. He came up with a novel approach towards purchasing this property that initially was listed 'as-is'. He understood my desires, my needs and my financial situation. His expertise enabled him to work diligently with the listing agent to propose a deal that would take care of everyone's needs. Mike played his cards correctly and with cleverness. From what I understand, this deal was indeed unusual but doable if all parties were on the same page.
INSPECTIONS AND LOCAL KNOWLEDGE OF PROPERTIES - Mike's experience in building and maintaining various properties were a God-send. He was able to interpret the best strategies to take care of Florissant inspection issues including knowing what things we could do ourselves versus contracting it out. Mike saved me $4000-$5000 dollars on work by voluntarily taking on various tasks and showing me how to assist in getting the job complete. Yet, he selflessly bore the brunt of the work because I am not skilled in these areas. Beyond this, he did not berate me for being less mechanically inclined as he is. That mattered a whole lot to me personally.
Again, Mike was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely refer others to him. I am amazed that this particular house would have been a house that my previous real estate agent would have counselled me against, most likely due to his lack of experience in dealing with real estate. The thought that I could have missed out on great house with so much potential and that had all the major attributes that I was looking for in a house is just mind-boggling. And because Mike could see what I couldn't see, I have the pleasure of being in this house. When I shared the news with my family about the purchase, they were so overjoyed. Mike helped to make that possible. In addition, he has made himself available for post-sale giving me tips on fixing the house up. This has been very beneficial that it goes beyond the call of duty and that fact that I had access to him on issues that I am completely unfamiliar with in terms of housing is the icing on the cake.”
